Welcome to HOW’s Teen Ministry page! We are excited to have launched our Teen Ministry in 2010 and are blessed to have teenagers at HOW who love the Lord and love being in church. The teen years are still a pivotal season for young people to make a personal choice to serve the Lord. Our role as teen ministers is to help guide them during these decision-making years.
 

Our goals are for the teens to

1. Make a personal commitment to be Christians
2. Learn skills that will help them play leading roles in life
3. Understand how to use the Bible as a guiding resource for life
4. Recognize the power of prayer when facing difficulty

We have a Bible Study called Teens Talkin’ Faith that meets every Sunday morning at 9:30am. It is a time of teaching and discussing a variety of topics that deal with the realities of life as a teenager. We talk about school, dating, peer pressure, the internet and other topics that are pertinent to teenagers. We also use this time to prepare for any upcoming activities the teens might be involved in, as al our teens are part of a ministry team within the church. This helps them to develop their skills, work with other adults, and become accustomed to serving in the house of God. We have quarterly activities with the teens, and occasionally join with teen ministries of other churches for group events.

At House of Worship, we are committed to everyone from the infants all the way up. Teenagers will find a great home at HOW.
