Medical Missions in Nigeria

Pastor Fiifi and I were blessed to go to Kafanchan Nigeria in February. We were hosted by Apostle Emmanuel Kure, his wife Pastor Martha Kure and the team at Throneroom Ministry. I volunteered at their missionary hospital called Salem Medical Outreach. I saw several pediatric patients, and had a chance to talk to the administrator, nurses and physicians at the center. I was blessed to see practical Christianity at work by meeting the health care needs of people. At the time, the local government hospital workers were on strike so there was no hospital in the community except Salem. Imagine what would have happened if Salem wasn't there. The people of Kafanchan were very friendly and were so grateful that I came. I want to continue to work with Salem and invite health care professionals and anyone interested in promoting health to join me in my efforts to help Salem. We need all kinds of medical supplies from the small and simple to the large and complex: thermometers, bandaids, bandages, medications (oral, topical, IV) catheters, feeding tubes, IV supplies, betadine, IV fluids, suture kits, operating table, bed sheets, cleaning supplies, suction, oxygen tanks, and much more. I am starting a medical outreach team to help meet this need. If you would like to be part of this team, or know any local vendors in Nigeria who can help us obtain supplies OR if you are a health care provider (doctor, surgeon, nurse, dentist, dental hygienist, pharmacist, laboratory technician) and you are interested in volunteering your time at the center, then get in touch with me ASAP pastorsybil@houseworship.org. More information and pictures of the medical center are available on the HOW facebook page. HELP NOW!
